Every Bird Has a Story:

The Wood Thrush may produce the most beautiful song in the forest. Like all song birds, they have two independent voice-boxes and know how to use them. They are able to single harmonies and overlapping patterns than are unmatched by any other bird.

In early North American writings, Wood Thushes are celebrated as the harbingers of spring. They may desrve the title, but they are so incredibly secretive that few hear them and fewer see them. They’re not rare or hard to find, but i believe that folks want to give the title to birds they can see and relate to. Most of use, today, aren’t living in the dark secretive corners of the forest.
