When forming tinplate wings, the metal is first formed into a dapping block (or stump). Not everyone is interested in keeping a stump in their shop. This small block mounts in any vise and does the job. It’s a lot easier to put in a cabinet or drawer than a stump, too. Made of oak and sanded. Unfinished.
