Get ready for Introduction to Bookarts!
The Start Date for Spring 2023 is Tuesday, March 19.
Here's a quick guide before we embark on this exciting journey:
Small but mighty crew: We're a group of 8, so please bring only essential crafting supplies. Space is limited!
Prep for takeoff: Before we dive in, browse online resources and try your hand at some bookart projects at home. The more you explore, the more you'll flourish! Feel free to browse my studio library.
Never alone: No need to feel lost! My experienced apprentice, Warren, will be your helpful guide during each project. Think of him as your personal bookart compass.
Learning pace: I tend to teach with enthusiasm, much like a hummingbird on a sugar rush! Don't worry, we'll find a comfortable rhythm together.
Safety first: Remember, we'll be using some sharp tools and those studio stairs can be tricky. Be mindful and stay safe!
Hydration station: Keep your creative juices flowing with a sealed drink. We have a fridge to store it for you.
Craft stash: Feel free to bring a few inspiring materials like scraps, buttons, or ribbons. However, remember space is limited! You can always bring more later. I’ve boxes of goodies for you to explore and use.
Your personal artist box: You'll be provided with a box to store your creations. It's a handy way to keep everything organized and easily transportable.
The real treasures: Building a supportive community, learning new skills, and creating unique book art - those are the true treasures we'll find in this class.
Enter through the front door at 92 S. 9th Street, Caravan Classes. My studio is in the basement. Someone will meet you at the door.
All parking is unrestricted during the hours of our class (even the 20 min. dropoff spaces). Park with confidence.
See you soon, fellow book enthusiasts!
